COMPREHENSIVE CLINICAL GOVERNANCE

Vitalis maintains full clinical governance, with credentials regularly measured and evaluated to rigorous independent standards.

Our entire operation and process approach is accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) .

ACHS accreditation is a hospital-level accreditation that requires:

  • A rigorous system of risk management and governance to be in place.
  • A measurable system for identifying, implementing and auditing continuous improvement.
  • An integrated, organisation-wide risk management framework that ensures that risks are actively identified, minimised and managed.

As an approved provider of government Home Care Packages, Vitalis is required to meet the regulatory requirements that ensure the safety and integrity of our services and have rigorous systems in place to not only meet but exceed these standards.

Vitalis’ programs are clinically validated and evidence-based, using best-practice clinical guidelines. Our clinical governance committee is:

  • Dr Greg McDonald, Head of Emergency Medicine (Emergency Department of the Sydney Adventist Hospital).
  • Dr Claudia Lopez, Emergency Physician (Sydney Adventist Hospital and Vitalis consulting doctor).
  • Dr Scott Chapman, Infectious Diseases Specialist (St Vincent’s Private, Norwest Private, Bella Vista Private, Bankstown Public, Consultant to NSLHD Covid-19 Team).
  • Voni Leighton, RN, MACN (Clinical Director, Vitalis Health & Home Care; Executive Committee of HITH Society, Australasia, Wound Fellow; Member International Foundation of Integrated Care).
